Description
TETNUS4DAY reports the day of the month that the female respondent received her fourth tetanus toxoid immunization.
The complementary variables TETNUS4MO and TETNUS4YR report the month and the year of the female respondent's fourth tetanus toxoid immunization, as recorded on a vaccination card shown to the interviewer.
Comparability
TETNUS4DAY has no comparability problems.
While all samples in TETNUS4DAY use the Gregorian calendar, certain countries use country-specific calendars. These countries (noted below) are excluded from TETNUS4DAY but are included in country-specific variables.
- Nepal uses the uses the Vikram Samvat: TETNUS4DAY_NP
TETNUS4DAY is a country-specific variable, and it is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire.
Universe
- Bangladesh 2000: Ever-married women age 10-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey, who received at least four tetanus injections and whose fourth tetanus injection date was on their tetanus injection card.
