UAUSELPROB (V033) is an 8-digit variable (in IPUMS-DHS). The DHS Recode Manuals define V033 as follows:
In other words, UAUSELPROB relates to the probability of selection for the small geographic area (such as an enumeration area), usually congruent with a sampling cluster or primary sampling unit, from which households were then randomly selected for interview.
