Comparability
Along with universe differences and slight variation in question wording, WKKIDWITH (V722) varies across samples in the number of response categories.
Most commonly, this question is worded as "While you are working, do you usually have (NAME) with you, sometimes with you, or never with you?" or some slight variation. Occasionally a fourth response, of "rarely," was also included. To maximize comparability, IPUMS-DHS uses composite coding, with "sometimes" and "rarely" sharing a common first digit of "2," with the second digit distinguishing between these responses.
Comparability - Standard DHS
WKKIDWITH (V722) is included in the standard DHS questionnaire for Phase II only.
