In addition to universe differences, the question wording for WSTORYN varies across samples. As noted below, some samples specifically ask whether drinking water is stored, while others do not.
Comparability - Standard DHS
WSTORYN is a country-specific household variable not included in the standard DHS questionnaire.
The 1988 Egyptian survey asked if the household stores water without specifying what kind of water. The 2008 Egyptian survey asked if the household stores "drinking water."
The 2010 and 2014 Rwandan surveys asked whether the household stores "drinking water."
