YRSCHLCM reports the number of years of education the female respondent completed at the highest level of schooling achieved, as reported in EDUCLVLCM. This variable is country-specific to Cameroon.

Comparability

YRSCHLCM has no comparability problems.

Because YRSCHLCM reports the number of years of schooling at the level achieved, "4 years" does not mean 4 years total, but 4 years at whichever level of education the respondent achieved. Thus, a code of 4 could indicate 4 years of primary school, 1st cycle of secondary school, or 2nd cycle of secondary school, for example.
