Description

GEO_LR2007_2019 reports the region of Liberia where the respondent was interviewed. The variable is integrated to yield units with consistent boundaries across samples for Liberia.

Labels identify the modern geographic units (groups of counties) contained in each integrated region. Each sample for Liberia also has its own non-integrated geography variable. The 2013 and 2019 samples have greater detail in variable GEO_LR2013_2019. The 1986 sample has boundaries that cannot be harmonized with the 2007, 2013, and 2019 regions and is not included in GEO_LR2007_2019.

Comparability

In 2013 and 2019, Monrovia is included within South Central region; Monrovia was enumerated separately in the 2007, 2009, 2011, and 2016 surveys.

The 2007, 2011, and 2019 samples correspond to Malaria Indicators Surveys (MIS).
