Description

GEO_LR2013 (V101_LR2013) reports the region of Liberia where the respondent was interviewed. DHS regions in the 2013 Liberia survey are equivalent to groups of counties.

Other sample years have their own sample-specific geography variables. The 2013 sample has greater detail in variable GEO_LR2013_2019. There is also an integrated variable, GEO_LR2007_2019, that provides spatially consistent units over time.

Comparability

GEO_LR2013 (V101_LR2013) is a country- and sample-specific variable and has no comparability issues.

Comparability - Standard DHS

GEO_LR2013, like other V101 variables, is a geographic variable added during processing of the DHS data. V101 is included in all Phases of the DHS.
