Description

GEO_NM1992 (V101_NM1992) indicates the region of Namibia where the respondent was interviewed. DHS regions in the 1992 Namibia survey are equivalent to divisions.

Other sample years have their own sample-specific geography variables. There are also two integrated variable, GEO_NM1992_2013 and GEO_NM2000_2013, that provides spatially consistent units over time.

GEO_NM1992, like other V101 variables, is a geographic variable added during processing of the DHS data. V101 is included in all Phases of the DHS.
