GEO_TG1988 (V101_TG1988) reports the region of Togo where the respondent was interviewed. DHS units in the 1988 Togo survey are equivalent to regions, which are administrative areas further divided into prefectures.

Other sample years for Togo have their own sample-specific geography variables. There is also an integrated variable, GEO_TG1988_2013, that provides spatially consistent units over time for Togo.
