Description
Women who stated that female circumcision should continue (in FCCONTINU) were asked a follow-up question about why it should continue. FCCTRAD captures whether they said the practice should continue because it was a "good tradition."
Comparability
Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, FCCTRAD has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
FCCTRAD is included in neither the standard DHS questionnaire nor in any of the three versions of the standard DHS module on female circumcision.
