Description
MENSTREGHR indicates whether the respondent has heard of "menstrual regulation."
Bangladesh survey questionnaires defined menstrual regulation as follows:
When a woman's menstrual period does not come on time, she can go to a health centre or to the FWV [female welfare visitor, a type of community health worker] and have a tube put in her for a short while to bring her period.
Some Bangladesh surveys treated menstrual regulation as both a means of contraception (preventing pregnancy), in the contraception table, and as a means of terminating a pregnancy.
