Description
For women who have ever had sexual intercourse and have heard of using condoms to prevent HIV/AIDS or other sexually transmitted infections, CONUSESTI (V871) indicates whether the respondent has ever used a condom to prevent HIV/AIDS or another STI.
Comparability
Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, CONUSESTI (V871) is largely comparable across samples.
Comparability - Standard DHS
CONUSESTI (V871) is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire, but it is included as a standard recode variable for Phase III.
