Description
GEOALT_NG2008_2021 reports the region of Nigeria where the respondent was interviewed. Regions in the GEOALT_NG2008_2021 variable correspond to states. The variable is integrated to yield units with consistent boundaries across samples.
Labels identify the modern geographic units (states) contained in each integrated region. Each sample also has its own non-integrated geography variable. An additional integrated variable, GEO_NG2003_2021, includes the 2003 and 2010 Nigeria samples and contains less geographic detail (grouped states).
An integrated GIS map (in shapefile format) for Nigeria can be downloaded here.
