Description
HCMTD4 indicates whether the woman reported an AMASOT (Association of Social Marketing in Chad) or MASOCOT (Condom Social Marketing in Chad) facility as a source for (male) condoms. This response category is country-specific to Chad.
Comparability
In addition to slight differences in question wording, HCMTD4 varies in the sector of this response category. The 2004 Chad survey includes "AMASOT/MASOCOT" under the "Public Sector" category, while the 2014 Chad survey includes "AMASOT" under the "Private Medical Sector" category.
Comparability - Standard DHS
An open-ended question on known sources for male condoms is included in the standard DHS questionnaire in Phase III forward. For discussion of differences between phases in this variable series, see the Comparability tab of HCMDK. HCMTD4 is a country-specific response.
